Achieving Goals
This post is somehow related to the last one posted named
‘Thinking about the Future’ however contains a slightly different context. The
aim of this post is to encourage that you do not dream incredibly high so it
seems unreachable! To give an example you don’t want to ‘Get a mansion’ in a
month. It is unthinkable if you are starting from the bottom.
Yes, it can be done but you will have to do so much to earn
it, you would be mentally exhausted and if you do not put the effort in and achieve
it then you would be disappointed and discouraged to do other things. However
you could think I want put all my effort in to get a mansion in the next few
years by doing my best to start up a company in IT; this is good because it is:
·
Reachable
·
It has an achievement
·
How you are going to do it
·
And a reasonable time limit.
This means it’s a goal you can out as you’re home screen and
motivate you every single day because you can do it and you know it is
possible. You can believe in it and rely on that goal to get you motivated for
the day which means you will put in the best effort.
That is not even the best part. What you really want out of
that goal is to complete it and when you do, you have that sense of achievement
and you proved people wrong. No matter what people will believe you won’t make
it, friends, family or enemies some of them will think that you are not going
to do it but once you do, it will be a shock.
So remember if sometimes people have low expectations of you
then you do not even need to worry because once you do they will leave jaws
dropped and it is one of the best feelings. I have not yet been able to achieve
this but I have witnessed it in other people and their smiles just get bigger.
My goals are just to be financially stable with my own home
by 20 after having an apprenticeship after leaving school and hopefully setting
up my own business. By I am 30-40 I want to be the CEO of my own company and
not having to worry about money in my bank when I buy stuff.
In conclusion if people have lower expectations then prove
them wrong, I believe that you can do it and now it I all down to you to make
it up. Whilst you are being successful just remember,
Be You,
Be
Powerful
